#GobiernoDeMéxico.- The creation of more than 700 complementary works in section 2 of the Tren Maya, which includes 234 kilometers from Escárcega to Calkiní, Campeche, generates 12 thousand jobs, informed Javier May Rodríguez, General Director of the Fondo Nacional de Fomento al Turismo (National Fund for Tourism Development).

Six municipalities and 31 localities are benefited through 447 transversal drainage and underpass projects, ten viaducts, 148 pedestrian, vehicular and fauna crossings, as well as 143 induced works such as the installation of light poles, fiber optics and drinking water, he mentioned in a morning press conference with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

Among the infrastructure works developed, the Campeche Railway Bypass stands out, which includes the 1.1 kilometer La Hoya Viaduct, with 87 percent progress, thanks to the work carried out by local labor.

To date, 80 kilometers of track have been completed; the supply of rail, fabricated sleepers and ballast produced are at 100 percent on this route, he said in the weekly report on this priority work of the Mexican Government.
